2015 Royal Distributing Canadian Cross Country Championship - East

The final rounds of the 2015 Canadian Cross Country Championship took place this past weekend at Walton Raceway. With the CXCC West Championship decided a few weeks ago these events would wrap up the CXCC East and crown the Eastern Champions.

Fortunately most of the rain expected on Saturday by-passed but dropped enough moisture to cut the dust on the track and make some of the trails slick. The sun came outSunday to provide perfect race conditions.

The Walton and WEC crew put in extra efforts and added a number of new trail sections to the course to create a very entertain circuit that used 90% of the famous MX track and wrapped all the way around the large Walton property. A number of riders on the podium commented that it was the most fun they have had on a motorcycle!

Day one saw Yamaha's Brian Wojnarowski use his skills in the slippery conditions to take the win ahead of GasGas's Adam Milson and KTM mounted Steve Bond.

AJ Snively had a great weekend with strong finishes in Pro Class and taking the Wiesner Insurance Pro Holeshot award on Day 2.

Mini Sr Podium for Day 2 - Jack Ooman in 1st, Curtis Marshall in 2nd and Scott McElone in 3rd.

Adam Milson had a big lead in Pro Class on Sunday when his bike acted up and he dropped back to 4th, after making the repair he worked his way back to the front by the end of the day.
